T-Shirt Contest

Students in B.C. elementary and middle schools (K - Gr.8) are asked to submit art reflecting the Run for Water and its cause by April 15. The winning piece of art will be chosen by a panel from the Run for Water Society. THE WINNERS ART WILL BE USED ON ALL OF THE 5K SHIRTS FOR THE 2011 RACE.

BLACK AND WHITE
The drawings that are created and submitted need to be clean black and white drawings. The best method to draw these is would be with an ink pen or dark pencil (ink pen is preferred). Any shading that is part of a given illustration should be in the form of cross hatched lines or solid shapes. NO COLORING OR SHADING: Entries should not be colored or shaded other than stated above.

NO PHOTOGRAPHS
The use of any photographic images in the entries poses copyright and reproduction challenges. For that reason all entries are limited to line drawings.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ADJUST
Run for Water creative department reserves the right to make adjustments and alterations to the winning entry to ensure that the reproduction of the given image is as good as possible. All entries agree to these terms.

DIGITAL SUBMISSIONS
Digital entries that are submitted must be saved out at a resolution of at least 150 DPI at full size (minimum 14 inches X 14 inches). All files should be submitted as flattened files with all fonts converted to outlines.

TRANSFER MEDIA
Digital files can be submitted to Run for Water on the following media: CD or DVD. Entrants will also be required to submit a color copy (can be reduced in size from the 14x14 size) to represent what has been created electronically on disc). Files should be created at minimum 14 inches x 14 inches in size. 

RETURN OF ORIGINAL ART/SIGNATURE
Art will NOT be returned. Students should sign their art and provide school and phone number on the back. The winner could be interviewed for the Abbotsford Times.
